It was a cold, wet Saturday afternoon on the 18th February 2012, when 40 people of Benington, including the Robinson Family and ex Parish Councillors, gathered to endorse Vic Robinson’s Memorial Seat.
Vic had been a true ambassador for the recreation ground, where for years he played and watched cricket and football, so its only fitting that the Benington Recreation Ground Charity Trust Committee acknowledge and honour him this way.
Vic over the years had worked tirelessly as Clerk to Benington Parish Council.
Retired Chairman Mr Harry Bott M.B.E made a speech and thanked the people of Benington, who wish to remain anonymous, who funded the memorial seat.
