“A Committee meeting was held at the Parochial Hall on Mon 29th Feb at 8.45pm. Mr Whitworth Hall was in the Chair.
Mr Bott the Hon Treasurer presented the accounts for 1922. showing a balance in hand of £11.3.11. The Treasurer reported that the National Farmers Union had agreed to pay the full amount of £100. For which the Pavilion was insured.

The Hon Sec. W.E. Mills reported since the closing of the Accounts they regret to report the total destruction of the Pavilion by Fire. The building was covered by Insurance, but the contents were uninsured. The Committee after Serious consideration decided that the whole of the insurance money should be used to rebuild the Pavilion, and rely on generous support to assist them in replacing the Tennis Nets and Poles, and other appliances burnt.

Mr Whitworth Hall very kindly offered to present the club with two new Tennis Nets, This was gratefully accepted.

A. F. Bott.”
