On June the 4th 2012, the Beacon in the Recreation Ground is one of the 2012 beacons accross the country to be lit for the Queens Jubilee. As with the celebrations ten years ago the recreation ground will host some of the celebrations in the village on this date via a Funday

Some of the Children from the School will have the oppurtunity to be the Benington Jubilee Princesses and Princes.

The exact Details are still to be announced, but you can be assured that it will be a fun time and the “Benington Mile” will be run at 16:30 (you can registar for that on the day) and some other fun competions/events will be held. Maybe a bonfire. There will be a couple of special guests appearing at 4.30 pm from 360Play in Stevenage and Some Inflatable bouncyness. Also a bit of Sumo Wrestling. Prizes to be won in different events also.

You will also be able to “Bring some meat” as the BBQ’s will be there for use and enjoyment. there will be a few stalls and hopefully a bar. There will be plenty to do all day from around midday onwards.
